About
MYLO is an exciting online language learning service that links your favourite interests with things you like doing on the internet – like playing games, creating blogs and movies, and sharing and working with others – making learning languages exciting and fun!
It isn't just about passing exams. Learning a language can help you make new friends, find your perfect job, travel the world and experience new cultures. From music to sport and fashion to film, languages can help with whatever you want to do.
Learn a language
French, German, Spanish and Chinese.
As a start, we've included some of the most popular languages – the ones most commonly taught at school or spoken on holiday. We've also included Mandarin Chinese as it is already offered in many secondary schools and is predicted to become a popular choice!
We'll be adding other languages as the service develops over the next few years.
Choose your level
MYLO is really flexible - you can start from scratch with a new language, or use it to improve and practise skills you already have.
MYLO starts with the basics, and can support your learning all the way through to GCSE.
Do it your way
MYLO includes loads of different games and activities, so you're bound to find something that interests you!
Ways to use MYLO

- Tackle one of the Challenges. These are exciting, real-life challenges which require you to use your language skills to solve a problem – such as designing a football kit for a French-speaking country.
- Access our 'Basics' content covering key language for new learners.
- Personalise MYLO by creating and updating you own avatar. The more you achieve on the site, the more options you will have.
